Originally sold thru South Australian Hupmobile agent Phoenix Motors and fitted with a touring body by T J Richards much of is history is unknown.

Steve has undertaken an extensive restoration to resurect this wreck. Having had the Ute treatment a new touring body has been fabricated from the front seat back using other surviving Hupps of the era as a guide. Many other missing components have been fabricated / replicated such as the windscreen frame, spare wheel bracket and many rubber and detail components.

Still very much a work in progress with some trim items and folding roof remaining for completion, the Hupp was put on club rego in October 2010 and was awarded the Clubs "Bob Gascoigne Restoration Trophy" for 2010

This 1924 Hupmobile was obtained by Steve Ford, Easter 2005 from his brother Graham in the condition as seen to the left.

This vehicle for quite some time had been located in Stirling North near Port Augusta having prior to that come from "Up North". It at some stage moved to Whyalla from where Graham aquired it and relocated it to his property at Gladstone.
